MORE UPGRADES FOR THE BASEBALL CHIEFS:

The Midwest spring weather will no longer have an impact on home games and practices for the Chiefs at Pittman Field. After improving their facilities with a new press box / concession stand and bathrooms in 2022, the Kickapoo Baseball Chiefs will now look forward to unlimited use on an all weather turf infield complete with bullpens and new dugouts. The upgrades will not only allow more on-field opportunities to play, improve and host, but it will also move the Chiefs from their traditional left side of the field to the right side of the field as the project includes a new baseball locker room that will be joined to the 1st base dugout.

Access to the parking lot and restrooms will be more convenient for Kickapoo players with this move as well. We will post project updates as they are made available. Completion date is set for August 2023 and is managed through the Springfield Public Schools Athletic Department .
